I set off for this final trip of the year, early in the morning, and was thankful I had my dad's assistance getting me to the airport. This trip is just under two months long, so I have more luggage than usual.
I flew to Dallas, and then had a several hour layover there until my flight to Dubai. The flight was very comfortable, I was actually able to sleep on the plane, and then made my way to the business class lounge when I arrived for another 6-hour layover for my flight to Tehran.
Upon my arrival in Dubai, I reached my 96th country. Iran will be 97!!! The next three weeks I'll spend exploring Iran. I'm not sure the access to Internet that I will have on this trip, so I will update when I can!
After leaving Dubai, we arrived in Tehran just a couple hours later. I had to wait until after everyone from my flight had gone through passport control before I was cleared or whatever... But eventually I was through passport control, passed customs and on the way to the hotel! My guide was waiting and met me and then we met the driver and made the 45 minute drive to the hotel. I got to my room and pretty much crashed immediately. It has been over 30 hours of travel to get here, and I hope jet lag doesn't rear its ugly head...
